Welcome To My Blog!
Hello Metfam! Welcome to my blog! Some of you in the I Disappear crew already know me. Hopefully I’ll get to meet those of you who I don’t know.
Who am I?
I’m a huge Metallica fan, if you couldn’t tell. I’ve been listening to them since 1986. I was 13 years old when I heard them for the first time. I’ve been following them on the 72 Seasons tour-well, as many shows as I can afford to go to. I was an I Disappear pass holder in 2024 and have one for 2025. I’m also an anthropologist and archaeologist. I’ve been conducting ethnographic research on the Metallica Family for over a year now. What’s ethnography? The Oxford definition is, “the sientific description of the customs of individual peoples and cultures.” What does that mean? It means that I study culture. I study the special meanings within a group of people-the things they do, why they do them, how they do them, and what it all means to them. I’m studying what the Metallica Family is and what it means to those who are in it. I’ll be conducting video interviews during the tour. Check out my Ethnographic Research page to learn more.
After losing all of my voice notes when my phone was stolen in Mexico, I decided to create this blog to keep my thoughts on the 2025 shows and to share my experiences with the rest of the MetFam. I also plan to write about my Metallica history, thoughts about them, etc. I also plan to write about my other concert experinces-not only have I been following Metallica, I’ve also been going to many other concerts of metal bands from my teenhood.
Make sure to follow me on Instagram for videos and pics of my concert experiences in real time!
